Colorectal Surgeon
Dr Joanne Dale is a dedicated and compassionate Colorectal and Specialist General Surgeon. She completed her Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Fellowship in General Surgery in Queensland in 2009. Dr Dale also obtained Conjoint Committee accreditation for colonoscopy
in 2009. Following this, she completed a further three years in post Fellowship Colorectal Surgery training.
These fulltime training positions included one year each at the Gold Coast University Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide and the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.
Since 2011, Dr Dale has been a Consultant in Colorectal and General Surgery at the Mater Hospital Brisbane, Mater Private Hospital, and Mater Mothers Hospital, treating both public and private patients. In 2019 she was appointed Senior Surgeon of the Colorectal Unit.
Dr Dale is passionate about providing holistic, patientcentred care. She is an advocate for Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) programs, and aims to tailor patient treatment to the individual, to ensure that all patient concerns are addressed, and the best outcomes are achieved.
